As the boundaries between traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralised finance (DeFi) continue to evolve, the intersection between the two is raising important questions about the future of financial services.
From liquidity and settlement to custody and compliance, the panel will explore how the convergence of TradFi and DeFi could reshape the financial ecosystem, who stands to benefit from this transformation, who risks being left behind, and what new models, infrastructure and services could emerge in between.
Bringing together perspectives from across the industry, the discussion will look beyond the current debate around traditional versus decentralised finance to consider how the two ecosystems may increasingly interact and what this could mean for the financial system of the future.
Demetris will contribute his perspective on the evolving regulatory and compliance landscape, including the role that effective governance, regulatory frameworks and compliance infrastructure can play as traditional finance and digital asset ecosystems increasingly intersect.
